  • Sunday, 7 November: Deadline to apply for mentorship programme
  • Friday, 12 November: Mentor/mentees matches finalised and introduction email is sent out

How to become a Mentor at RIPE 83

Volunteering as a mentor is an easy way to pay it forward and ensure the RIPE community continues to thrive.
You can become a mentor by indicating your preference via your RIPE 83 registration page (link in the confirmation registration email).
The RIPE Meetings Team will then get in touch with you to learn more about your areas of expertise and help you find a good match.
Please make sure to indicate your preference before Sunday, 7 November, so that we have enough time to match mentors with mentees based on mutual interests.

What we expect from Mentors

Once your match is confirmed, get in touch with your mentee, to introduce yourself and find out what they want to get from the meeting.
Arrange a few ‘virtual’ coffee chats throughout the meeting week to check-in.
Be available for questions before, during and after the meeting.

How to become a RIPE Meeting Mentee

If you want to join the programme, all you need to do is tick the “Yes, I want to be paired with a Mentor” box on your RIPE 83 registration page (link in the confirmation registration email).
The RIPE Meetings Team will then get in touch with you to learn more about your areas of interest in order to find a good match.
Please make sure to indicate your preference before Sunday, 7 November, so that we have enough time to match mentors with mentees based on mutual interests.

What we expect from Mentees
